    Aromatherapy
Always use essences with extreme caution

Essential oils are powerful. Please use only pure essential oils. How can you tell if an oil is a pure essence? If you put a little on a blotter paper, it will dry with no stain. If you see a stain, then other oils have been added to save on cost. Many essential oils are very expensive. They can be as costly as $130 to $160 for less than 1/16th of an ounce! Organic oils will be even more expensive.

Essential oils may be mixed together to create a remedy. Some remedies are so delicious that people wear them as perfumes! If you attempt this yourself, be careful because when you mix one oil with another, you create another chemical altogether!

I prepare remedies for people to alleviate a variety of diseases and discomforts. Examples are: respiratory, asthma, flus and colds, rheumatoid arthritis, arthritis, acne, depression, and hundreds of others. Remedies costs $30 for a 2 month supply. If you wish me to prepare a remedy for you, please call me at 401-465-5438 or email me here.

Basil is uplifting, energizing, strengthening, and refreshing. It is a first choice for migraines yet may cause a migraine in a few people; therefore, you must test it out when you are feeling well. Caution: do not use if pregnant and do not use in the sun as it may promote sunburn

Bergamot is great for acne, eczema, cystitis, urinary tract infection, digestive problems. I use it in my face moisturing formulas. It, also, relieves depression, anxiety, nervousness, anger, frustration. Bergamot promotes a restful sleep. Caution: do not use in the sun

Chamomile is relaxing and soothing. It is a great anti-stresser because it promotes calmness.

Eucalyptus is wonderful in alleviating colds, respiratory, and urinary tract problems as well as reducing fever. It is, also, used as an antiseptic and is healing to wounds and sprains. Eucalyptus strengthens the nervous system and clears negativity, thus promoting healing. Caution: Do not use if you have high blood pressure or epilepsy

Frankincense is used to relieve stress, high blood pressure, and wrinkles! It is, also used as an antiseptic. And it makes a terrific bug repellent.

Geranium helps circulation, reduces and relieves inflammation, herpes & PMS (via being a diuretic). It makes a great skin astringent. Many people find Geranium uplifting and so use it as an anti-depression because it relieves anxiety and stress. Caution: Do not use if pregnant and it may irritate skin for some people

Jasmine has many different uses. It's used as an aphrodisiac; it relieves skin problems, PMS, uterine difficulties, coughs, and anxiety. It, also reduces severe depression and promotes confidence. I love Jasmine and wear it in a perfume I make. Caution: Do not use if pregnant, but may use as about to go into labour as it eases labour

Juniper is used to relieve headaches, indigestion, colic, flatulence, insomnia, and to detox the body (it, too is a diaretic). It's also used to relieves anxiety, strengthen the nerves by clearing and stimulating them. Caution: Do not use if pregnant, if have inflammatory conditions, or have kidney disease

Lavender is the best burn reliever I know. If I burn myself, the first thing I do is pour lavender oil on it and immediately the pain disappears! Therefore, of course you want it on hand for sunstroke, inflammation, spasms, cuts, and infections. It is a better disinfectant than alcohol because it actually kills germs on contact. It is. also a marvelous decongestant, headache & insomnia cure. If basil doesn't work for your headaches, rub a little lavender oil on your temples. Lavender relieves depression because it, too, is calming. Caution: Do not use if pregnant or if have low blood pressure. May cause drowsy feelings

Lemon is a great disinfectant. It is, also, refreshing, uplifting, and good for skin care. Caution: Do not use in the sun. Dilute well as full strength could irritate the skin

Neroli is uplifting and soothiing ~ relieving of anxiety, depression, and stress. Put a few drops in your bath to relieve dry skin.

Orange can be used as an antiseptic. However, most people use it to give them energy, lift the spirits, and promote calmness, a positive outlook, and enhance energy and joy. It. also, aids vitamin c absorption. Caution: Do not use in the sun

Peppermint is very healing because it relieves stomach aches and nausea. Notice that most "stomach" products sold in the pharmacy have peppermint in them. It is, too, used to relieve sinus problems and clear lymph nodes. Peppermint may be used to reduces fever, relieve asthma, colds, anger, and fatigue. It helps increases the memory. Caution: Do not use if pregnant and not for infants and toddlers. Can disturb sleep and be dangerous to the eyes

Rosemary stimulates circulation and hastens detoxification of the body. Thus, it reduces inflammation, fibrous tissue, cellulite, and headaches. It energizes brain cells, as well as clears the head and increases memory. Caution: Do not use if pregnant and not if you have high blood pressure or epilepsy. Toxic in high dosages

Sage is soothing, healing, uplifting. Caution: Do not use if pregnant or have high blood pressure or epilepsy

Sandalwood is more than an aphrodisiac. It is a sedative, softens the skin, reduces acne, relieves itching, inflammation and thus, overall cooling to the skin ~ it repairs. People use Sandalwood as a calming essence and to desensitize obsessiveness behavior. Caution: Do not use if excessively depressed because of its high seddative properties - may furthur lower mood

Tangerine, like Orange, is an antiseptic. It, too, reduces stress by being uplifting, refreshing, and soothing. It reduces acne, relieves stomach problems and PMS. Great for kids. Caution: Do not use in the sun

Tea Tree boosts the immune system. It relieves athlete's foot, bronchitis, coughs, cold sores, cuts, insect bites, and viral infections. It is, also, used for hair care. Caution: May be skin sensitive

Ylang ylang is used as an aphrodisiac, yet, it, too, has many other properties. It is a soothing, antiseptic on the skin, a decongester, antidepressant, and sedative. It calms frustration and negative emotional states by promoting a feeling of comforting. And it is used to reduce blood pressure and stress. Caution: Too much may cause nausea and/or headache

    HOW TO USE ESSENTIAL OILS:

  • Put two drops of essential oils on a light bulb before turning on the light
  • Put two drops on room fan blades
  • Put two drops in baking soda, sprinkle on the carpet, and later vacuum
  • Put two drops in a diffuser or on a handkerchief
  • Put two drops on a cotton ball and place near a radiator or heating vent
  • Put two drops in a saucer of water and leave out in the room
  • Put six drops in a bathtub of the warmest water you can stand and take a 20 minute bath. Oils will seep into your pores and what your body does not need, will leave through your pores
  • Put six drops into steaming water, place a towel over your head, and breathe in for 15 minutes (for respiratory problems)
  • Use only four (4) drops for children

Never use oils in the bath or steam method for more than five (5) days in a row. The rule is: five (5) days on and two (2) days off. I hope you understand how cautious you must be when using pure essential oils. They don't tell you this stuff on the bottle!

    OILS WILL:

  • purify by removing the metallic particles and toxins out of the air
  • increase atmospheric oxygen as do plants
  • increase ozone and negative ions ~ which inhibit bacterial growth
  • in the house ~destroy odors from mold, cigarettes and pets
  • fill the air with a fresh aromatic scent.
